Bibliographic Agency
The Bibliographic Agency, under the Office of the Library and Archives, is responsible for managing national bibliographic control in Papua New Guinea. It compiles, maintains, and publishes bibliographic records of all materials produced in the country.
The agency ensures that every publication — books, periodicals, and other printed materials — is properly catalogued and accessible for reference, research, and preservation. It also provides bibliographic services to libraries, researchers, and institutions to support information sharing and cultural documentation across the nation.
