The Office of Library and Archives (OLA) partners with the U.S. Embassy in Papua New Guinea through the American Corner initiative — a collaboration that promotes education, cultural exchange, and access to global information resources.

The American Corner is a learning and information hub located within OLA, designed to connect Papua New Guineans with educational opportunities, technology access, and American culture.

Key Focus Areas:

• Education and Learning – Access to U.S. educational resources, online courses, and exchange information.

• Information Access – Free internet, computers, and e-resources for students, researchers, and the public.

• Cultural Exchange – Events, talks, and programs that promote mutual understanding between Papua New Guinea and the United States.

• Youth Empowerment – Training sessions and workshops on leadership, entrepreneurship, and technology.
